Isfahan

Half the world, in one city

Persians once called Isfahan “Nesf-e Jahan” — half the world. The Safavid capital still dazzles with turquoise domes, arcaded bridges over the Zayandeh River and one of the largest city squares on Earth, Naqsh-e Jahan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
