Hormuz Island

The rainbow island

Hormuz looks like another planet: red, ochre, yellow and violet earth, glittering salt and a beach where the waves turn crimson. Locals even cook with the red soil, known as gelak. Ferries take about half an hour from Bandar Abbas.
